Tiffany

The VIP of the week is Tiffany. Tiffany likes Zoey 101, Arizona and math. Her favorite flower is a sunflower, month is January, and actor is Jamie Lynn Spears. Her friends are Samantha, Ana and Alex. Have a great week Tiffany.

This week in math we started multiplication. We found out that multiplication is the same as repeated addition. We also built arrays to help us figure the answers out. Memorization is another tool we are using. Everyday we are taking timed tests. So far everyone has passed 0. We have also worked on 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10. Please help your child memorize these facts.

In reading we started the story Anthony Reynoso: Born to Rope. This story is about a boy who likes to show off his roping and riding skills that he has learned from his father. It is a great non-fiction story about a family working and playing together. What kinds of skills do you share with your child?

In writing, we are continuing with our paragraph about our favorite pet. We are adding lots of details about our animal. We can't wait to share it with you!

In social studies, we are continuing with our American History unit. On Thursday we will be starting our research about our chosen topics. The kids have chosen the following names and topic:
