Robel

The VIP of the week is Robel. Robel likes monkeys, soccer, and race cars. He enjoys nighttime, math, and the number 12. His friends are Jacob, Fernando, and Caden. Have a great week Robel!

This week in math we are working on graphing. On Monday we graphed M&Ms- yum! The rest of the week we will be lookin at many different ways we can graph information. We'll look at lines graphs, line plots, grids and more.

In reading we will be working on Raising Dragons. Raising Dragons is a fun story about a family who lives on a farm and then begin to raise a dragon. It's fun to see how a dragon can go from being a pain to being an important part of the family.

In writing we will be continuing our Playing a Sport paragraph. We need to make it perfect and use as much detail as possible. We'll be using these as a basis for our books.

In grammar we are working on homographs. Homographs are words that are spelled the same, can sound the same, and have different meanings. A few examples are can, punch, orange, and read.

In American Histoy we will be finishing our lesson about how a bill becomes a law. Last week we divided into different groups. Some of us were citizens, Supreme Court Justices, Representitives, or Senators. The Representatives have decided on two bills they would like to see become a law. This week they will take them to the Senators who will decide on one bill to make it a law. We had so much fun, the kids keep asking when we are going to finish!
