Oscar

The VIP of the week is Oscar. A few kids will be VIP twice because their turn falls on a short week. When that happens they get a second chance. Oscar likes the TV show Maruto and the movie Street Fighters. Have a great second week Oscar!

This week in math we are practicing our multiplication facts. We've been working really hard with learning them. Have you been studying at home?

In reading we are finishing our story The Talking Cloth. We will be creating our own adinkra cloth. Here is a picture of an adinkra cloth:

In writing we are finishing our paragraph about our Halloween costume or favorite outfit. Be sure to look for it on Wednesday.

Because of the short week, we will not be doing a grammar lesson.

In American history, we will be presenting our posters to the class. I should be pretty neat to see all of our hard work.

Please don't forget that our poem presentations are due Tuesday and Wednesday.

Finally, I have a great website for those of you who are interested in searching for AR quizzes for your child. The kids cannot take tests, but they can locate books and find out if the books they are getting from the public library are AR. How many AR books do you already have?
